As a member of the Stations Operations and Maintenance Team, I am responsible for undertaking routine operational tasks, preventative maintenance and operating the plant from the Main Control Room using DCS as part of start-up and shut-downs of the modules.My role also includes: • Completing Operations accreditations • Undertaking hands-on maintenance tasks • Interrogating DCS systems and logic • DCS based and plant-based fault finding • Applications of safe systems of work • Health, Safety and Environmental complianceIn addition to my Operational duties I am in the process of gaining a Safety Authorisation as a Designated Person under the RWE Safety Rules. I also volunteered to be the Operations Representative for Wellbeing at Didcot B and have recently become an on-site First Aider, so as better to equip myself and assist the company to the best of my ability.
