• I develop and execute proactive plans for promoting Colleges Ontario’s news and opinions in the media, develop relationships with media who report on post-secondary education and on issues affecting higher education, and act as the primary contact for media inquiries. I also act as spokesperson, when appropriate.• I am the writer and editor of the organization's monthly e-newsletter, which is sent to thousands of college staff, government officials and public and private sector employees and CEOs. I recently re-designed and modernized the newsletter. I am also responsible for stakeholder-directed materials including, but not limited to, news releases, letters to the editor, op-eds, blog posts and other earned media, reports, key messages, fact sheets promoting the sector’s advocacy priorities and speaking notes.• I create and implement innovative ways to interact with target audiences, including influencers, on social media.
