The Division 6 Right of Way Office handles negotiations with property owners who live along roadway projects in five counties (Cumberland, Harnett, Robeson, Bladen, and Columbus). Negotiations with property owners to acquire such necessary right of way is procured through voluntary donation, just compensation (based on appraisals), or condemnation (also based on appraisals). More specifically, this office: contacts, meets, and negotiates with property owners along various primary and secondary road projects; requests appraisals and title opinions; prepares, executes, and records all necessary documentation and legal instruments, including Right of Way Agreements; considers advanced acquisitions; assists in grave relocations; provides property management and relocation assistance; aids with protective rentals; answers phone calls from citizens, attorneys, realtors, utility agents, etc.; receives/sends daily inter-office courier mail; submits weekly payroll, monthly primary and secondary roads reports, and monthly State vehicle travel logs.

Started in Charlotte, NC as Branch Management Trainee, which defined the position of "FR" in the AGFS setting. Such position included meeting company goals each month for loan production, delinquency control, insurance sales, etc. while learning the administrative tasks to effectively manage an AGFS branch. Courses were passed to obtain required licenses from the NC Department of Insurance and the NC Commissioner of Banks. My duties included, but were not limited to: originating, processing, and closing loans (personal, retail, and real estate); completing daily loan solicitation and delinquency methods via phone, mail, and in-office contact; selling both credit and non-credit insurance; field calling for delinquency, retail dealers, etc.; exercising an individual loan approval limit; and cutting disbursement checks. Outstanding customer service was always a #1 priority as well.

Accepted offer/package to relocate to manage first remote site in Charlotte, NC. My "GM" position included managing 6-10 employees, personnel records, production and inventory systems, machine maintenance, wire transfers of money, company credit card, etc. Maintained a broad spectrum of all-inclusive responsibilities that ranged from administration and personnel management to quality control in a production setting.
