About Amy Eckert
RN, BSN - BC Clinical Informatics Lead at Confluence Health. I am currently pursuing my MSN in Management and Leadership. I have been with Confluence since 2001, first as a staff nurse and charge nurse on PCU from 2001-2014. I was the PCU Subject Matter Expert 2009-2014 through our Cerner implementation. As the first hired Clinical Informaticist for CH in 2014, I oversaw the clinical aspects of our Cerner to Epic conversion including management of the Inpatient SME program. I have also created the Ambulatory SME program for our 12 ambulatory clinics with our second nurse informaticist. I currently have 2 nurses, a pharmacist and an Epic Orderset analyst on my team. We manage the 2 SME teams, oversee all order set and protocol work, partner with the Quality team for DNV and DoH survey readiness and compliance, and partner with the CMIO and Operational leaders for organizational direction setting and project management.
