My role with Novaskill developed into a management position as the Branch Coordinator for the Central Coast Region. This position allowed me a greater ability to develop opportunities in vocational education and training on the Central Coast.

My role with Novaskill diversified into Project Coordination where I had the opportunity to coordinate a number of different training programs within the Central Coast Branch of Novaskill. This allowed me a greater balance from classroom training to onsite assessment to implementing programs that and enhance the skills and experience of a large number of students on the Central Coast.My main focus was on youth educational engagement with a proven success in reengaging at-risk youth back into their school environment through alternative training methods.

As a Trainer/Assessor with Novaskill I was responsible for the mentoring and implementation of training and assessment to students both in the classroom and within businesses across the Central Coast. My skills and experience achieved in my career to date allowed me to branch out and train in different Vocations - Hospitality, Retail and Business.

Central Coast

Coordination and styling of Weddings and Special Events held in the Central Coast RegionThis role saw me move back into Events after travelling and it was a great opportunity to build a network base on the Central Coast. My job involved overseeing a large number of wedding and events scheduled within each calendar year, particularly during the busy wedding seasons.Poppy Events rebranded as GG Events in 2012 and I was heavily involved in the rebranding and creation of the new business culture. As Client Manager, I was involved in the business development and client/supplier liaison. Both these positions saw me involved in the styling and creative element of creating the perfect wedding and special event. Organisation, time management and staff development were key to my job role with this company.

International

I spent a year of my two years abroad working in the Luxury Yacht industry on the Vulcan Fleet – MY Octopus, MY Tatoosh & MY Meduse. It is an industry that demands the highest level of service. We were encouraged to anticipate the needs of our guests well in advance. During my time on board I also gained so much insight into teamwork as you live and work with your crew each and every day. I was employed onboard Meduse for 10 months spending time onboard the other two boats to assist with events or for intensive training. My role as 2nd stewardess saw me assisting the Chief Stewardess with running the interior department. My role included a lead service position for meals including silver service, anticipating our guests needs, beverage preparation and service, detailed cleaning of all guest and crew areas, laundry, provisioning, delegation of duties to interior crew during the Chief's absence, decoration and theming for dinners/events, organising itinerary’s for our guests whilst in port, planning activities for our guests, basic administration duties, watch keeping hours (both in port and on passage), basic deck duties - boat washdown, fender duties.The most important thing above all else that I gained from this position was life experience and cultural diversity. During my time on Meduse we travelled approximately 38,000 nautical miles and saw so much of the world – Europe, Africa, US, South America & South Pacific. It was an experience that shaped me as an employee but also as a person.

Hunter Valley

As a Restaurant Supervisor at the Chez Pok Restaurant in the Hunter Valley I was responsible for the smooth operation of the restaurant service. My main responsibilities included table service, customer service, guest liaison, delegation of duties, supervision of employees, end of service administration and financial management.With my Function Supervisor role I was predominately responsible for ensuring the functions ran efficiently and to the prearranged plan. During the running of the functions i had to ensure that the service adhered to the timelines set and that nothing was overlooked. Running functions between our two sister properties, Peppers Guest House & Peppers Convent, meant that my coordination, organisation and inventory management skills were regularly required.

Hunter Valley

Coordination and styling of Weddings and Special Events held in the Hunter Valley and management of the Hunter Valley Events of Elegance office.In this position I was responsible for the timely delivery of our services to our clients, from the inception of an idea to the implementation during the set up and styling of the event. Customer service and client liaison were forefront in my job role combined with a high level of organisational skills and time management.This role involved overseeing a large number of wedding and events scheduled within each calendar year. Running the Hunter Valley office allowed me to build a network of professionals within the Hunter Valley to ensure a high quality of event was delivered to our clients. This role saw me responsible for all administrative duties of the Hunter Valley office along with running a small team of employees, working knowledge of inventory management, marketing, business development and a large amount of creative input to all events that we coordinated.Customer service and client liaison were forefront in my job role combined with a high level of organisational skills and time management.

Thredbo

I started this role as a Food and Beverage Attendant in Cascades Restaurant within the Thredbo Alpine Hotel. I was a moved into a Supervisory Position leading into the busy winter period. My main responsibilities included table service, customer service, guest liaison, delegation of duties, supervision of employees, end of service administration and financial management.

Newcastle, Australia

Coordination and styling of Weddings and Special Events held in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens area.In this position I was responsible for the timely delivery of our services to our clients, from the inception of an idea to the implementation during the set up and styling of the event.This role involved a working knowledge of stock control, sales and marketing along with the creative input into all events that we coordinated.Customer service and client liaison were forefront in my job role combined with a high level of organisational skills and time management.
