During my career at Aetna, I started as an HMO claims processor. The HMO processing unit in the Allentown, PA office dissolved so I was trained to be a Traditional full-product claim processor of both medical and hospital claims. After 1 year experience in that position, I was urged to become a Service Consultant, taking calls from members and handling claims simultaneously. I held a dual role of HMO Customer Service Representative as well. I have always been flexible helping out with extra duties as needed: Helpdesk Scrubber, SFE, DAR, Rates, Plan Testing, Innovative Ideas Coach, Audit Inquiries, Customer Implementation Demonstrations, etc. With the separation of claim and call, my title changed to Customer Service Representative. I was hand picked to become a Health Concierge based on my top of the line work and personal skills. I now had the opportunity to provide an enhanced customer service experience to our members. I was promoted to Sr. Health Concierge for 100% quality and hold a dual role of Task List Consultant for the entire Eastern Region. I am also a Single Point of Contact for one of our National Accounts Human Resources department for their Japanese speaking population. I enjoy my job because I like interacting with people and am very detail-oriented. Every call is different and it challenges me. I have been a teleworker since 2007 which takes self-discipline.
