Mead Open Farm is an activity farm with a range of different animals. Oakwood Farm

This is a Free Range Woodland Chicken farm. It is a franchise of Bowlers. I training to be a farm manager. My main job was to run the hen units. This includes running the eggs of off the belts and checking the figures each day are as they should be. Checking the welfare of the birds is as good as can be and checking for any signs of illness or disease. Also making sure that all electrical items are working and fixing any nesasary items.

This farm specialised in Beef and Sheep, they also make their own hay and straw to both feed the livestock and to also sell to local farms. I had many responsibilities on this job including the basic care of the livestock. But also including 2 lambing seasons of which I would be left to work on my own with the whole flock and assisting if needs be. I also worked well with the sheepdogs when hearding in or moving sheep. This is a fish and Reptile retail shop. This job including selling and advising people on both the fish and the reptile side of things. Including what you need to set it up and keep it running. I took part in many jobs such as customer support, cleaning both the shop, tanks, ponds and Vivariums. As well as doing water tests and checking all the stock is healthy and living in the correct conditions.
