As a member of the State Services Team, serve as a liaison to other assigned areas within NCBA to assure information flow between state and national staff.--Respond to information requests from state beef councils or web submitted comments and provide answers in timely manner.--Coordinate state beef councils' use of Survey Monkey subscription. As the SQT Program Manager, I -oversaw production of the "Official Methods and Recommended Practices of the AOCS", 6th Edition for the Technical Department by coordinating with the AOCS Marketing and Publishing Departments and outside vendors to create, publish and distribute the book.-was the liaison between the AOCS Technical Department and committees, groups and individuals involved in the SQT Program. Through this position I worked with members of academia, government and industry to coordinate research efforts and standard development.-organized the research initiatives of the SQT Program.-conceptualized, developed and implemented a new program for 2009-2010: The Soybean Breeding Lines Library to complement the existing Soybean Sample Library.-recruited new participants to the SQTAnalytical Standards Program, a proficiency testing program, expanding the program from 51 to 90 participants in one year.-coordinated national and international committees of academic, government and industry participants to examine methods of amino acid, phytate and sugar analysis in soybeans. -managed the SQT member database.-worked with the AOCS web department to update and improve both the SQT and AOCS websites.-prepared and presented reports and presentations to oversight committees, fellow program managers, and potential participants regarding the SQT Program and its progress.-wrote quarterly and year end reports updating the United Soybean Board on SQT Program progress.-composed and edited promotional materials and articles for inform regarding the SQT Program.-coordinated all aspects of SQT Program meetings from arranging time and location to compiling and distributing materials. -managed an annual $500,000+ budget. -represented the Technical Department at internal AOCS meetings, such as the Web Strategy Working Group.-represented AOCS and the SQT Program at industry meetings and liaised with current and potential program participants.
