I was responsible for setting up and coordinating at different public events all over New England. We had sponsorships from the NFL and the New England Dairy Council so we often went to sporting events, charitable events, health walks, etc.. We promoted all different kinds of things but frequently it was for a kids program called Fuel Up To Play 60. This program's mission is to encourage people to get outside and be active for at least 60 minutes every day, while also eating a healthy balanced diet.

I ran the front end of the store, in terms of customer satisfaction, managing the cashiers & scheduling their breaks, training new hires, maintaining the checkout and return lines, etc. After doing that for a couple years, I decided to get more hands-on experience with merchandising the product on the sales floor -- I became the Department Coordinator of the bedding department. I was responsible for ensuring all the merchandise that came in on the truck was put out on display and that it was done to corporate standards. Being just a mile away from the national TJX Corporate Office, there was constant pressure to keep everything looking neat and tidy, ensuring that all displays were in order.

I was responsible for processing the cash office on weekends, which meant balancing every dollar that went in and out of the store, as well as submitting the bank deposits. I also worked as a part time sales associate and cashier.

I worked for a family who had a child with a rare degenerative genetic disorder. I was responsible for his minor medical needs, as well as caring for their other two young children. I often helped the family with other tasks around the house.
