I've heard it said that the media are the gatekeepers of information in this day and age. I take a more optimistic stance on the subject. As a communications professional, I have the joy and privilege of helping organizations, institutions, and businesses, working hard to make a positive difference in the world, shine brightly in their community and attract like-minded individuals. I revel in my ability to help form new connections and partnerships and be part of a story of growth. Having a great passion for conservation, wildlife, sustainability, and education, I've worked for West Chester University's Office of Sustainability for over four years, crafting and executing a communications strategy that puts sustainability on the map. I've used my energy and talents to promote and advance the university's sustainability mission, as well as educate the campus and surrounding community on issues that matter. Possessing an innate knack for team building, I have created and built-up important sustainability initiatives on campus, such as the Pack It Up, Pass It On Move Out Program, the Green Office Program, and the Sustainability Peer Education Program.When I'm not glued to my computer, you'll find me rock climbing, backpacking, and birding with my fiancé Todd. I'm an avid reader and literary nut who you can count on for book recommendations anytime you're in the market.
