As a Health Communication Specialist, I am privileged to contribute my expertise to BeVera Solutions, where I serve as a contract employee within the Office of Internal Communications. Within this role, I've had the opportunity to exhibit my creative talents by spearheading the development of a dynamic new videocast explicitly tailored to our employees. This initiative has kept our workforce informed and fostered a more profound sense of engagement within CDC.During the entirety of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tanaq Support Services tasked me with playing a pivotal role in the emergency response efforts. By leveraging my communication prowess and strategic planning acumen, I curated and disseminated precise and timely information surrounding the pandemic to diverse audiences, ranging from healthcare professionals to the general public. Through collaborative efforts with fellow health communicators, subject matter experts, and stakeholders, I ensured the consistency and excellence of our messaging, thus bolstering public understanding and response. This collaborative approach has made everyone feel included and part of a team, contributing to our collective success.Beyond my focus on health communication, I've been Managing Editor across three esteemed scientific journals under the American Physiological Society for over 24 years. In this capacity, I've had the privilege of working alongside four Editors-in-chief, steering the journal's strategic direction, managing budgets, and orchestrating impactful events. With meticulous attention to detail, I've overseen the editorial process, safeguarding the integrity and rigor of our publications. My unwavering dedication to advancing the frontiers of science while fostering accessibility to up-to-date knowledge has been a driving force throughout my tenure, ensuring our journals remain at the forefront of impactful discourse.
