Instrument Teaching Assistant, Croydon Music and Arts (September 2021 - August 2023)Croydon Music and Arts is an organisation that runs music and arts programmes aimed at children and young people. My role primarily focused on helping teachers to run the music groups smoothly and effectively to provide the best experience possible for the young people attending.As part of my job, I:-Ran a group for grade 2 - 5 cellists -Worked with young disabled and neuro-diverse people -Helped teachers with finding music, photocopying, and other admin tasks -Set up and set down rooms that were being used -Managed logistics for concert days -Communicated with parents and young studentsI was also part of the organisations many ensembles and between 2022 and 2023 led the cello section of the Croydon Youth Orchestra. I taught myself bass guitar in 2022 as well to fill the position in the jazz band. As part of these groups I have worked with the London Mozart Players and Sheku Kanneh-Mason, as well as being a part of the Ends Festival (Lloyd Park). I was also a part of the CR Talent Festival which was a celebration of Croydon being the London Borough of Culture for 2023.
