I am MSR Design’s marketing and communications manager and an associate with the firm. I have been with the firm for more than 25 years. I have written for Architecture MN and serve on AIA Minnesota’s Publications Committee for ENTER, the organization’s digital weekly and print annual (recently serving as cochair of the committee). I am currently a member of the Minneapolis Pedestrian Advisory Committee. I also served on the Rain Taxi Marketing Committee. I have cochaired several Society of Marketing Professional Services seminars in conjunction with AIA Minnesota and the University of Minnesota College of Design Continuing Professional Studies Program, including sessions on writing and preparing proposals and on getting published. Prior to joining MSR Design, I worked in book publishing for 12 years, including for Oxford University Press, Yale University Press, and Saint Martin’s Press, among other presses. In addition to my career in marketing professional services and book publishing, I have sustained a passion for writing poetry most of my life. My poems have appeared in a range of journals, including Common Ground Review and Blood Lotus, and a number of anthologies, including If Bees Are Few: A Hive of Bee Poems; Adrienne Rich: A Tribute Anthology; and The Heart of All That Is: Reflections on Home. I was the April 2015 featured author in The New Guard’s Bang! Author Showcase series. I have given readings on Minnesota Public Radio and at a variety of venues and events regionally and nationally, including Bowery Poetry in New York City. I also maintain a blog of original poetry (arambler.com).I received a Bachelor of Arts in English with honors from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and completed the Foreword Writing Apprenticeship program in poetry at the Loft Literary Center in 2009.
