In my role as a COO, I'm literally the daily communicator of the vision and mission to the organization. I worked closely with the President/CEO and the Board of Directors to strategize the vision and the overall LT plan. At that point, I was responsible for business planning and insuring that all the team members understood the plan and exactly how their role impacted the success of that plan. Functional responsibilities included: Sales, Operations, Strategic Planning, Human Resources, Risk Management, Quality Assurance, Information Systems, and General and Administrative. What I enjoy most about the COO role is the opportunity to help shape the entire organization by using cross-functional teams and projects to infuse the various departments with the vision and then watch as everyone "boarded the boat and began to paddle in the same direction." Key expectations for me in this role are: * driving change, accountability, and excellence, * developing people, and * bringing the vision to life at all levels of the organization.
