Day to day simulator operation support on behalf of the Royal Australian Navy. Roles include: - Assisting in setup and conduct of all Simulator Scenario's. - Creation and Modification of Simulator Scenario's including advanced Polaris operations. - Acquiring and updating of all Hydrodynamic Ship Models and Area Databases. - Creation of simulator Standard Operating Procedures for other instructors at the Bridge Training Faculty. - Troubleshooting and defect rectification on simulator hardware and software. - Assist Royal Australian Navy in the acquisition of new and updated simulator technology. - Instruction of simulator "train the trainer" courses (see below)

• Liaise with Commonwealth staff to ensure optimal training outcome of assigned projects.• Provide input to design and delivery of training packages during course development periods. • Provide advice on Bridge Simulation procedures and practices including, Setup, creation of scenarios, Instructional programs and delivery of course content.• Assist with the configuration of Kongsberg Ship Simulator in preparation for training.• Deliver face to face training to commonwealth staff that meet corporate training needs.

• Supervise the operation of the headquarters database and support desk incident management team.• Manage the correct handling of priority messages and produce formal message responses to naval assets using military messaging system (Mercury).• Maintain physical and information security of documents and assets and prepare and conduct routine and emergency information destructions. Create formal message communication reports on disruptions to communications (outages) in addition to communicating incidents and completing security incident reports using Wyvern. Manage and update communication records. • Personal and professional development of staff whilst also managing and conducting training for station joining logs and task book completion.• Coordinate fire, bomb threat and emergency responses in accordance with Emergency Control Standing Orders.
