Amy is an emerging Korean-Canadian writer and producer. She has written, directed, and produced stories that highlight multicultural individuals and their perspectives. Her most personal film, “Our Second Fridge” won the runner-up prize at the 2020 EBS International Documentary Festival’s ‘Mini Doc Contest’. The following year, “Butterscotch Pudding”, which she produced and co-wrote, competed as a finalist at the 2021 Vancouver Independent Film Festival’s ‘Best Short Doc’ category. Her most recent project, “Glorious Holiday”, was released through CBC Short Docs in 2022, and was officially selected at the LA Asian Film Awards and was awarded 'Best Documentary' at the Mosaic Film Festival in 2023. She has also co-written a comedy pilot about a Korean immigrant waitress’s life, which was a semi-finalist at the 2021 Blue Cat Screenplay competition. Amy continues to explore themes that resonate with her bi-cultural identity and strives to capture authenticity and honesty in her work.
