There are plenty of guidelines governing how to write "About" paragraphs. I'm choosing to tell you less about what I've done and more about what people have said about me. People see me as persistent, even resilient. I thrive on that.People tell me that I am fun to be around. If being true to myself makes me approachable and friendly/relatable, then I can see it. I work and live in a judge-free zone.People tell me I am level-headed and look to me for leadership. Though I might not have every answer, I generally know someone who knows someone. I excel at connecting folks and will take a first step forward, even if I don't know exactly what will happen down the road. We all learn by doing far more than by studying.People tell me I am a good story-teller. I am a writer and speaker by nature - if I claim it, I better be good at it.In my professional positions, I have accomplished much by staying true to my belief system and being laser-focused. I am both dedicated and determined. I am task-oriented and resolved to never back down from a challenging situation. I've worn the hat of a supervisor, director, manager, and leader; each requires slightly different skill. I see "problems" mostly as opportunities and/or challenges. This is what I am "about."
