2 years participating in the delivery of on-ground works that support bushfire preparedness and suppression, including planned burning operations within Victoria’s National Parks, State Forests and protected public land. Activities involve the ability to comply with safe handling practices and undertake risk management assessments as well as the use of 4WD vehicles, rakhos, mowers, chainsaws, whipper snippers, pumps etc. within remote bush locations. Services concerned with fire and emergency management include road and culvert maintenance, construction of fire breaks, track clearing and slashing.
