Amy is a licensed Landscape Architect and retired Certified Arborist who has worked in the public, corporate, and private sectors for over 18 years. Her career began restoring Toronto’s urban forests where she learned the fundamental principles of designing and stewarding the native plant communities of Southern Ontario. She has collaborated on the design and realization of several public parks in the City of Toronto.Recently, Amy has focused on working within low-income neighbourhoods to inspire citizen-led ownership of community spaces. Inspired by both personal and cultural attachments to landscape, she is committed to building public spaces that foster strong foundations for long-term community engagement through both temporary and permanent design interventions.
