Manage the Illinois State Fair, a premier showcase that generates an $87 million economic impact annually. Fiscal management of $6.5 million appropriation Prioritize, delegate, and implement the strategic plan encompassing all activities of the annual event including 8700 competitions, entertainment, agriculture, special attractions, food, motorsports, and governmental agencies Supervise, mentor and lead staff and volunteers Motivate, and cultivate long term partnerships with community and business leaders Initiate and collaborate communication strategies between government agencies, private business, and commercial ventures to amplify visibility Manage public relations program including all forms of advertising and social media Serve as a spokesperson for the statewide event including television and written publication interviews Create and execute branding opportunities for sponsors to maximize exposure Schedule, manage, and promote national touring artists for grandstand entertainment 12 free stages Operations Manager for two National High School Finals Rodeo – the world’s largest rodeo. Responsibilities included housing, stalling, security, volunteers, staffing, and direct coordination with the National High School Rodeo Association. Over 1500 contestants from 44 states compete in this event every year
