The Carthage Student Call Center is responsible for acquiring donations through daily cold-calling to Carthage Alumni and friends. The continuous calling and data entry simultaneously allows Carthage to acquire new contact information and make necessary corrections to records.In addition to the necessary verbal communication skills, employees must also demonstrate that he or she possesses strong written skills. Employees are also required to write "thank you" letters to donors expressing gratitude for supporting the school with donations.

Racine, Wisconsin

The internship depended heavily on Microsoft Office experience. Microsoft Publisher was used to create event flyers and materials. Excel was used to complete data analysis of sales in both the gift shop and food services. New employee handbooks and checklists were made using Google Docs to improve efficiency of work processes.I was required to assist in the management and execution of major seasonal events such as "Boo at the Zoo" and "Coco with Cubs." Both events encompassed regular zoo admission in addition to extra activities that merited experience in logistics and management.I worked regularly to update the gift shop website and layout.

The seasonal job position allows for recreation leaders to collaborate with his or her specific park assignment's supervisor to plan and execute programs for day campers on a daily basis. The recreation leader is also responsible for day campers on field trips to Navy Pier, public pools, and other highly populated areas.There is presentation development when recreation leaders teach students educational lessons on topics such as bullying, personal space, and appropriate means of calling the police or paramedics.Finally, recreation leaders focused on implementing team-building activities for day campers while simultaneously encouraging fitness.
