I learned the recruitment process including posting job openings, screening resumes, tracking applicant information, and routing resumes to hiring managers. I also assisted in updating job descriptions and improving recruitment techniques. I learned about the administrative responsibilities by observing new hire orientation, putting together new hire packages, and working with various employment records (I-9, W-4, etc.) During their open enrollment period I assisted with the creation of benefit packages, summary plan descriptions, and employee communications. In addition to these tasks, I created training presentations/material and researched information for improving their employee health and wellness program.
