In a field of mesclun greens someone said, “editorial freelancer,” and a yurt-dwelling farmhand had found her calling. I quickly leveraged her (then-average) library skills and (above average) Latin training to learn the trade, squelched any qualms about cold-calls, and began to hustle like a farmer in September. Thousands of projects later, I am joyfully beavering away at a fruitful and ever-evolving freelance business, polishing books, articles, and content for a long list of publishers and clients. Comfortable in a wide range of topics, from homesteading to OM MANI PADME HUM, I specialize in final production stages - meticulously copy editing, proofreading, and managing text using Word, Excel, and Acrobat. I communicate with my clients as much as they like, however they like: queries, emails, or Zoom, plus the occasional coffee date. Like the growing season in Maine, all my work is precious and deadline driven.
