As the Strategic Initiatives Director, I offered creative systems thinking with a focus on developing core competencies succeeding in taking the national nonprofit to the next level of organizational development. I challenged the status quo to bring forward projects aimed at strengthening the organization's ability to increase sustainability and mission impact. While in my newly developed leadership role, I added depth to the organization by building a new internal department. In doing so, I built relationships to lead cross functional projects in an effort to achieve the strategic goals of the Phoenix Society. Strategic planning, board development, integrated technology, and building an evaluation framework were projects in my scope. I also tackled financial systems planning, nonprofit management and strategic communications. My passion for this work comes from valuing the capabilities of communities, teams and individuals working together to support, and positively influence, the lives of others.

Led a role transition and served as project manager to a programs assessment. Implemented a board assessment and delivered a board development plan. Led various cross-functional organizational projects.

I cultivated, inspired and led national collaborative teams towards developing industry leading youth, teen and family programs. Responsible for visioning, assessment, program development, program delivery and evaluation. Elevated programs through national presentations, papers and publications sharing positive program impacts. A highilight from this phase of my career at Phoenix Society included the inclusive development process and lauch of the Phoenix UBelong program serving as the standard-setting global therapeutic program for children, teens, young adults and parents affected by burn injury.

I cut a new path within the organization by developing the first role and related programs/resources dedicated to youth and families. Expanding services of an adult focused organization to include programs, services and resources serving the entire family. A highlight in this phase of my career at Phoenix Society included leading and launching a national school reentry program.
