I believe the world is a better place because of the special work that nonprofits do to make our communities better and help those in times of need. For this reason, I have dedicated my career to nonprofits, first as an employee and now as the president of Dot Org Solutions, a firm focused on advancing their work. I am also a champion for small businesses and their owners for the role they play in creating jobs, delivering important products and services, and keeping the economy strong. I applaud their ability to take risks, solve problems and make the impossible possible. My goal is for nonprofits and small businesses is to get the recognition they deserve for the role they play in the success of our communities. And I support them through volunteering, mentoring other leaders and investing in my Dot Org team, so we can provide our clients with the information and training they need to be the best. I speak often on a wide range of topics including running a small business, marketing strategy, fundraising planning, and planned giving. I also blog regularly on leadership topics relevant to both nonprofits and small businesses. (One of my favorite blogs recognizes the influential women in my life.)
