As Director, I had overall responsibility for management and delivery of Remembering Srebrenica’s strategic plan and objectives in order to remember the victims of the Srebrenica genocide and build the lessons from Srebrenica to strengthen community relations in the UK. Through this, I oversaw the delivery of national events to mark Srebrenica Memorial Day in the UK including over 1,000 commemorations to mark the anniversary of the genocide and bring together around 50,000 people in acts of commemoration and to unite communities.Additionally, I managed a team of eight people, as well as a network of volunteers and regional and national boards.

Developed evidence based policy solutions and presented recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. My role involved analysing evidence to inform and develop policy options and improve procedures and systems to deliver outcome focused regulation. I led on policy and regulatory development projects of strategic significance to the organisation.

I conducted political, regulatory and policy-based research at Betfair. This involves communicating complex issues to stakeholders and providing support for the public affairs strategy and campaigns within the UK. I have a robust knowledge of the UK political system and policy-making process.

Developed a good knowledge of politics and Westminster through global political research projects, the organising of events in Parliament and writing contributions for publications.Assisted with the setting up and contributing to a Hansard Society blog called Women at the Top which included editing articles and identifying and organising guest bloggers.
