As the Executive Co-Director at the Waseca County Historical Society, I form strategic initiatives to preserve and celebrate our local heritage. With a deep commitment to community engagement and historical education, I lead a dedicated staff, together with my codirector, in curating exhibits, organizing events and other vibrant programming, and expanding our archival collections. My role encompasses fundraising, operations, and fostering partnerships to ensure the Society's sustainability and growth. I've led the organization in change management, updating all our databases and technology systems. Researching them, implementing them, and training staff are all parts of my duties. By blending innovative approaches with a passion for history, I strive to connect our rich past with the present, making history accessible and creating a sense of wonder.Bold Oracle Studios has been my business since 2009 - it included online and brick and mortar retail, event creation and management, and dance classes. I've organized dozens of events, training weekends, retreats and festivals. The online costuming shop is recognized worldwide within its niche. I have provided fusion belly dance, antique and vintage themed costumes and materials, and fantasy/fairy tale inspired costumes internationally for stage shows, movies, and private clients since 2007. Bold Oracle Studios also included a dance studio, through which I have also hosted events, given workshops, taught ongoing classes, and performed modern Middle Eastern dance in the Wisconsin/Minnesota area since 2010.Until October of 2017, I owned and operated The Eye Atelier in Taylors Falls, MN - an "enchanted emporium and an extraordinary studio". We housed everything magical - from a fairy village for the kids to a curated bohemian thrift clothing section to jewelry, hair ornaments, antiques and fine art.
