CurrentBest Friends Animal Society is a national, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in our nation's shelters. We run the nation's largest sanctuary for companion animals at our headquarters in Southern Utah along with pet adoption centers in Los Angeles, New York City, Salt Lake City and Bentonville, AK. In collaboration with more than 4,400 shelter and rescue partners, our mission is to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters by 2025.Founded in 1984, Best Friends has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters from about 17M per year to around 378K. We’ve proudly earned high ratings from charity watchdog groups and are grateful for a long history of entertainment industry and celebrity support.With support from celebrities and entertainment decision makers, my role is to raise awareness about our lifesaving work and mission. When celebrities and entertainment companies use their voices and platforms to amplify our messaging about the importance of pet adoption, spaying/neutering, fostering, volunteering, donating, advocating, etc., more lives are saved and we move closer to our goal of ending shelter deaths.Key responsibilities include strengthening existing celebrity supporter and entertainment industry relationships and developing new ones, as well as securing, negotiating and executing entertainment partnerships and campaigns. Celebrity supporters include Amanda Seyfried, Justin Theroux, Sia, Danny Trejo, Emmy Rossum, Bob Odenkirk, Cecily Strong, Seth MacFarlane, Mayim Bialik and others.Key accomplishments include building relationships, crafting strategy, generating impactful results from celebrity-driven social media campaigns and event attendance, securing, negotiating and managing television, film, and music partnerships. Partners include: ABC-TV, FOX TV, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, Warner Bros Pictures, Universal Pictures, Searchlight Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Netflix and more.
