Data AnalystLead Forensics Jun 2012 - Nov 2012Lead Forensics built a lead generation tool that when installed on a clients website, can track businesses that have visited (via IP address). This code is sold to companies so they can create additional selling opportunities that they may otherwise miss. My role required me to track the IP address that has visited the website and decode the information to obtain the companies registered name and contact details. I then submitted them on the Lead Forensics portal ready to be transferred to the client. Speed and accuracy were key, as bad data, means bad leads for businesses. -

As there were thousands of accounts that required amending, I had to be very efficient and ensure I made no mistakes, while making sure I hit my daily targets. -
Data AnalystSabre Technologies Sep 2010 - May 2012My job as a data analyst consisted of maintaining the software the company sold, (nVision), researching manufacturer’s datasheets and interpreting the information onto our system. I would run basic reports using SQL to ensure I extracted the relevant information to update the system.

Activity InstructorSuper Camps And Pompey Stars Apr 2010 - Sep 2010PortsmouthDuring this period, I decided I would like to try something new, make use of my sports degree and also gain new skills. I worked for these companies helping children to learn new skills and improve their confidence. My roles varied from teaching children aged between 4-16 arts and crafts, dance, sports, games and quadbiking. I learnt many new skills working with the children, for example having to adapt my teaching methods from the younger children who needed more basic rules and explanations to the older children who needed more complex rules to ensure I kept their attention, whilst making sure I kept it fun for all ages.

Buying AssistantSandpiper Ci, Jersey Ci May 2009 - Apr 2010HampshireWhile at Sandpiper, I collated and processed of all product data (pricing, promotions, sales barcodes etc.) for my departments. I maintained the products master files on the computer database and analysed the sales data system to place purchase orders for a range of suppliers. I created various reports using Excel vlookups to maximise efficiency when ordering and used various other software programmes to check stock levels and promotional activity. I also liaised with suppliers and the stores for general enquiries and problem solving. I assisted my two buyers with their product selection and managed approximately 4000 products over my departments, choosing monthly promotions and making the relevant changes on our system to implement them in store for the correct period. Attention to detail was vital when setting the promotions, as an error could result in in-store scanning failures. -
