There is no time I feel more like myself than when I am in a theatre, creating. The adults that introduced me to the arts as a child showed me the power of community that is formed when the performing arts are shared with others. Today, my goal is to bring that sense of identity and community to others. My experience in community musical theatre as a performer, choreographer, and director led me to develop my theatrical, musical, and dance skills. The 11 productions I have directed and choreographed helped to shape my teaching skills by requiring me to lead rehearsals for casts of 4 to 90 people ranging from ages 3 to over 70. My experience in the public school system has also greatly increased my instructional skills and leadership capabilities.
