I am a fiction author, editor and multi-disciplinary corporate communications specialist. I translate complex concepts into accessible language for all audiences. I currently consult for a leading global innovation consultancy, as well as some of South Africa's top investment banks. My skill in business writing has been accumulated through a career that has included financial journalism; internal and external communications for international corporates; as well as time spent working on the agency-side for listed companies. My parallel career as a fiction writer has seen me being published in several short story anthologies; publishing two novels internationally; and working with inspirational thinkers in ghost-writing business books and editing their content. While creative and corporate writing may seem an unlikely marriage, they are complementary. My fiction side allows me to look at projects from a fresh, creative perspective and my corporate training ensures I apply a strong structure to everything I write or edit. Ultimately, all written content needs to reach its audience using a tone and language that resonates with them. Telling these stories is what drives me.
