The summer before sixth grade I knew I wanted to be a writer. I walked two blocks to the center of my small town, strolled confidently into the community newspaper office and asked for my own column. Just like that, I had a weekly advice column called “Ask Amy” that even included my picture. Believe it or not, kids thought I had answers. As the summer ran down the questions got increasingly mature and my parents decided “Ask Amy” needed to slip quietly into retirement. As I have continued my education, career and life experiences that drive to write and bold little girl is still inside this professional woman. Just like that sixth grader, I’m calm under pressure, a strategic thinker and a problem solver who loves to write.Media Relations professional -- who is never really off the clock.
