I am a commercial lawyer working primarily with government clients in Canberra. My primary area of focus is complex procurements and contracting, including drafting documentation and advising on contract issues.

I work with the CIO and the Information Technology Management (ITM) executive staff to ensure that potential privacy and data breach concerns are considered prior to the implementation of cloud technology. I provide commercial advice regarding current and potential ITM contracts, agreements and licences in support of this. I was responsible for using my technology background to review prospective technology-related contracts and provide draft advice to the senior lawyer for consideration. I used my experience in policy drafting to create policies for the Legal team related to contracting and mandatory data breach notification. My role also required that I conduct legal research for both responses to government inquiries and into contemporary legal issues and how they related to tertiary education.
