I've written fiction, non-fiction, creative non-fiction (memoir), blogs and articles. I do original work and ghostwriting for clients. I'm a creative writer and idea-generator who thrives when collaborating on meaningful projects. I find the story within the story - the meaning, the heart of it - then make it bloom into a rich and compelling narrative. Oversaw and managed all aspects of 50+ year-old visual and performing arts non-profit community organization. Developed and managed six arts-based programs for children and adults (theater, art gallery, classes, summer arts camp, concerts). Read scripts and selected plays for each season as member of selection committee. Curated, installed and promoted over 40 solo and group gallery exhibits. Produced special events & activities; conducted development, marketing and outreach; coordinated fundraising events; managed facility.

Project development, management and production for historic preservation clients.

Oversaw and administered all aspects of 800-member non-profit architectural preservation organization, including managing several part-time staff. Promoted and advocated for five locally and nationally designated historic districts. Provided technical & design assistance to home and business owners. Worked with City Council, City Planner and Historic District Commission. Chaired committee to create permanent History of Staunton exhibit in City Hall.
