As a member of Yellowstone's executive team, I am responsible for managing the institutional advancement of Yellowstone Schools, which consists of Yellowstone Academy (PK3-4th grade) and Yellowstone College Prep (5th-9th grade). Rooted in the Christian faith, Yellowstone educates nearly 500 majority Black children in PK3 through 8th grade. Located in Houston’s historic Third Ward, we are committed to partnering with students and families, regardless of financial means, to provide an excellent education, to develop faith and character, and to prepare scholars for life beyond high school.

Advanced the mission of The Parish School and onsite pediatric clinic, The Carruth Center, by leading staff, committees, and volunteer leadership towards excellence in fundraising, marketing, communications, and outreach. Oversees grant-writing; major gifts; annual fund; alumni, media, and public relations; advertising; and events.• Re-envisioned fundraising department to increase productivity and operational efficiency by re-structuring staff, streamlining fundraisers and improving communications• Produced most financially successful and best-attended events in school’s history: grew gala attendance 82% and net income 310% in four years; grew luncheon attendance 82% and net income 437% in six years • Increased family participation in annual fund from 75% in FY14 to 95%+• Facilitated visioning sessions with school leadership that included the adoption of core values and core purpose, as well as new mission and vision statements• Successfully re-branded school and clinic to address declining enrollment and increase public visibility• Lead interdepartmental team that focuses on cohesive marketing efforts, grassroots outreach, a professional podcast titled “Unbabbled,” speakers bureau, and high-quality representation at national conferences
