In this role, I specialize in New Product Development (NPD) for furniture and home furnishing products, with a focus on the planning and concept design phases. The bulk of my role is to drive assortment launch planning, translating initial ideas into actionable project plans, and managing timelines while coordinating cross-functional teams from concept to launch. Responsibility includes risk evaluation, stakeholder communication, and integrating consumer insights to create market-driven designs. I am also involved in driving process improvements, implementing best practices, team development & mentorship for successful outcomes. Other than NPD projects, I also took on retail project planning for the organization's flagship store in Sydney.

The objective to this role was to ensure a smoother transition of JIRA Work Management system implementation within the team and to roll out an autonomous reporting system via the JIRA platform as part of work process optimization. The goal was achieved through comprehensive tutorials deck, training sessions and 1-to-1 consultation sessions and with relevant personnel.

With this experience in Einc, I have officially made the transition to a Project Management role that handled decorative lights installation, which was still closely related my interest of bringing design to realisation. With the combined experiences in Lighting Design and Industrial Design, I was able to effectively communicate and synthesize with architects & designers on the design and concept details. Having strong technical knowledge has also helped me in advising clients and liaised with contractors and manufacturers with ease.

Taking on the role of Assistant Concept Manager in Osim had expanded my knowledge and understanding in Brand Strategy when it comes to New Product Introduction. My main responsibility was to bring the Visual Mechandising concepts for new product launches to realisation and implementation to global stores and offices.

With a dual role as Brand Manager, my responsibility is to do brand management and development, curating the execution of materials and activities, including catalogues, TVC, website management and showroom. It required budget planning, KPIs setting and supporting overseas offices and distributors in brand building. The role also required responsibility in patent dispute analysis and awards strategy.

As the Lead Product Designer in the Awards & Recognition Industry, I headed the design concept to manufacturing process, studied the trend, process and CMF used in the industry. I've worked with clients from UK, Holland, Italy and Australia to understand their requirement with the goal of capturing major shares in their respective markets. Stationed at the factory where all actions are, I was in charged of all manufacturing issues of designs and worked hand-in-hand with mold makers, production managers and QC managers to ensure designs were delivered as intended.

Within the short period of time working in Illumtex, I was heavily involved in lighting designing for interior and facades of both local & overseas project. With on job training, I picked up new knowledge in the lighting design industry and worked with key Architects & Interior Designers from conceptualisation to realisation. Also handling the project management, I was given great opportunities to present lighting concepts to key developers/owners in Dubai, Malaysia & Singapore.
