• Engage, influence and evangelize operations and SRE best practices within the Cloud team as well as development, operations and product groups to align technology services/solution delivery.• Responsible for all components of the production public cloud regions including the management and operations of customer facing applications and websites.• Manage availability, latency, scalability and effectiveness of applications development by instilling engineering reliability into our development life cycle with a focus on fault tolerant approaches.• Responsibile for Cloud Operations functions which include financial management covering financial planning, budget management and attainment of financial objectives. • Drive capacity planning, performance analysis, instrumentation and other non•functional systems requirements.• Industry knowledge and awareness of best practices, trends, and latest features of Internet, SaaS, and Cloud delivered applications• Define process and report on strategic initiatives and project level tasks to all stakeholders including senior executives, clients using effective communication approaches.• Drive the development and articulation of cloud architecture strategy, weighing and advising between options such as public cloud vs. data center, IaaS vs. PaaS, database technology, and other key technology decisions.• Experience building and managing a mature Release Engineering function that supports highly automated continuous integration and deployment capabilities into AWS/Azure using best of breed processes and tools• Implement metrics driven processes to ensure service quality targets are met.• Drive quality accountability within the organization with well-defined processes, metrics and goals for process quality. This includes leading effective postmortems and ensuring actions are followed-up.

Responsible for maintaining mission-critical production computer systems in a high-reliability environment.Oversee all cloud production servers. Including traditional hosting architecture (on-prem and cloud based) and continuous delivery through the use of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.Well versed in:• Process automation through scripting in PowerShell, bash, Python, AWS CLI• Microsoft technologies: Windows, IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory, WSUS• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SSL, Domains• Open source technologies: Apache, NGINX, MySQL, PostgreSQL • Linux administration, server hardening, and bash scriptingKey Responsibilities:• Manage, strengthen, grow, and support infrastructure on Amazon Web Services & Microsoft Azure• Redesign existing build procedures to reduce complexity using automation tools (Lambda, Jenkins)• Take part in the planning, management, and implementation of new systems projects• Perform standard administration tasks, patching, monitoring, network security• Part of 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to alerts in a timely fashion, ensuring proper communication with clients• Act as highest tier of support, troubleshoot difficulties with production servers, and work with application developers to achieve resolution• Provision, monitor, and scale AWS/Azure infrastructure• Work in a detail-oriented fashion without losing sight of the overall picture• Work under pressure in a high-reliability environment with professionalism
