I am currently working as an independent researcher on a contract basis on projects related to hurricane evacuation decision-making during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, I am focused and being funded on two primary projects: 1) by the Puerto Rico Science, Research, and Technology Trust and the Natural Hazards Center on a project entitled, "Compound.

I am currently working as a graduate research assistant for University of South Florida School of Geosciences, where I am acting as a Principal Investigator for an NSF grant titled "Hurricane Evacuations in the Age of COVID-19". This work, truly a culmination of my research interests since 2016, focuses on disaster sociology and the way people are making.
