Sane Director
Former director and program coordinator for the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners of Otero & Lincoln County (SANE). - Supervised SANE nurses and volunteers- Performed outreach at school health fairs and public events to promote the SANE program and sexual violence prevention- Participated in trainings for law enforcement and other partner agency members- Collaborated on statewide SANE task force work- Actively participated in SANE exams when needed including on-call case coordination- Developed policies and implemented protocols to accomplish SANE work according to NMCSAP and IAFN standards- Negotiated MOU’s with local government, law enforcement, prison facilities and health organizations to facilitate SANE work- Performed administrative duties including accounting and monthly reporting requirements- Created and supported fundraising campaigns- Grant writing for regional grants including United Way and several regional foundations - Completed 64 hours of didactic SANE training with the New Mexico Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs. - Attended numerous online trainings including a 6-week SANE Sustainability course offered by the IAFN (full list on request). - Attended and presented at Advanced SANE Training (NMCSAP). - Attended Advocacy in Action Conferences in Albuquerque, NM.
