I am strategic and operational lead at The Vench, a much-loved Adventure Playground & Community Centre in Lockleaze, Bristol. I hold responsibility for delivering our vision of all children and young people in Lockleaze living happy and healthy lives.Together with our staff, volunteers and CYP, I co-designed a strategy to refine our focus on the importance of providing young people and their families with a safe place to play, learn and create the change they want to see in the world.   At The Vench, we are on a mission to:- provide a safe and vibrant place for children and young people to play,- co-design opportunities with young people and their families to build their resilience and improve their future prospects,- amplify youth voice in the decisions that are made in Lockleaze and the surrounding area.

I oversee the delivery of Bristol SU’s sustainability offer including ESD, volunteering and campaign support. I am the lead conduit between the University and SU acting as a student engagement expert for the Bristol Futures team which is developing a transformative education initiative. I lead Bristol SU’s development and delivery of the informal curriculum offer in line with Bristol Futures. I have led the transformation of Officer Transition and support Elected Officer development and campaigns.

Responsible for delivering behaviour change projects to create a shift towards a culture of sustainability amongst students and the organisation. Duties: Develop and deliver sustainability skills training packages for student leaders on sustainability issues and support and mentor them to incorporate sustainability into their activities. Organise events and communications to engage students in sustainability and Bristol Green Capital. Support and mentor students in developing their own projects and campaigns, raise the profile of sustainability at the University and beyond through marketing and stakeholder relations.Key Skills: Project management, training, events management, line management, stakeholder relations

Responsible for overseeing the NUS Students'​ Green Fund project, Get Green. She leads on sustainability engagement projects at the Students'​ Union in close collaboration with the University of Bristol's Sustainability Team. Duties: Supported a range of sustainability projects and campaigns which aim to normalise sustainable behaviours in the Bristol student community, managed communications strategies, recruited and managed volunteers, supported students in developing their own projects and campaigns.Key Skills: Communications, social media, volunteer management, behaviour change, events management

In the last quarter of 2013 I volunteered for 10 weeks on a sustainable development programme in India. This was part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people from around the World together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I worked alongside volunteers from India, on a project which aimed to improve the health and sanitation facilities available to a community in rural India. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become Active Global Citizens who are passionate about long term community development.I fundraised £800 for Raleigh International who are one of the respected development agencies that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the developing communities where they work.

• Provided temporary cover at short notice to host a series of ecological events and support the Sustainability Team with a variety of projects. • Duties: event support and management; volunteer management; liaison with local partners; liaison with design team to produce marketing materials; production of a monthly newsletter; administrative support. The Ecologist Environmental Hero 2012-2013On-Campus Student Employee of the Year 2012-2013• Duties: vetted job vacancies; online databases maintenance; assisted careers event delivery; liaison with employers via email, telephone and in person. • Green Team Leader – voluntarily coordinated the department’s transition towards sustainable practices, achieving Bronze and Silver NUS Green Impact accreditation in the first year. • SCP Coordinator, University of Exeter Internships Society – assisted with recruitment and marketing, and organised events to help student and graduate interns settle into working life at the university. Training: Environmental Skills for the Workplace; Recruitment & Selection Key Skills: IT including MS office, databases, team work, organisation, professionalism, communication, flexibility, event management, networking.

• Duties: Extensive research and report writing, subjects included: carbon assessments, environmental management systems and sustainability policies of FTSE100 companies; assistance with environmental event delivery including a one-day Carbon Assessment workshop; maintaining social media accounts. • Duties: customer service, training new staff, leading the waiting team. • Developed strong customer service skills and the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure. • Learnt how to manage time between working 20 hours a week, studying and sporting commitments.
