* Develop maps and geodatabases/shapefiles, using ESRI ArcGIS 10.4.1 software, for project managers (in various markets, such as wetlands, environmental remediation, environmental compliance, and emergency response) to convey the projects to the client and project managers.* Convert GPS and KML data to shapefiles to use in ArcGIS software.* Obtain and georeference historical aerial photographs.Work with AutoCAD drafter to place components of line drawings onto GIS maps, and also provide aerial photographs/GIS features to add to CAD drawings.

Department of Natural Resources (Nov. 2008 - Aug. 2009)* Participated in the development of ProCogo and Group files to later convert into shapefiles.* Assisted in building shapefiles for monthly nominations, new leases, whole and partial releases, operating agreements and exclusive geophysical agreements.* Built plats and maps for the Office of Mineral Resources using ArcGIS 9.3 software.Department of Transportation and Development (Aug. 2009 - present)* Develops presentation maps of current and proposed roadways.* Updates city and parish maps/data with cultural and physical information (such as streets and major highways) of the state to form a set of base maps.* Edits various databases to ensure the data's accuracy and integrity.* Utilizes linear referencing to link linear data to tabular data maintained by other offices, in order to create maps that display the different types of data necessary for presentations.* Ensures that our department has up to date polygon data of the city limits throughout the state, using coordinate geometry tools in ArcMap.

* Performed work as a contractor for the US Army Corps of Engineers - New Orleans Division at the Hurricane Protection Office.* Fulfilled map and spatial analysis requests for project managers, environmental, real estate and other divisions.* Performed special data creation, manipulation and maintenance necessary on all levees, pump stations and other projects within the Hurricane Protection Office.* Served as a liason for 3 other GIS or CADD offsite contractors, specifically ensuring that all parties have the most accurate and up to date data for use in their projects.

* Reach indexing of National Hydrologic Data to create a baseline map of Louisiana using ArcView 3.2. This was necessary for future submittals to the Environmental Protection Agency.

* Fall semester internship for course credit.* Worked with WSI software to create graphic presentations used in weather reports for 45 days of news segments.* Learned forecasting techniques from three meteorologists.* Drafted the phone hotline forecasts for the station.* Gained experience as an on-camera meteorologist by creating two hours worth of resume tape.

* Performed fieldwork, including surveying the city/parish of Baton Rouge, to ensure that all business addresses and lot information were correct.* Used an Oracle database to modify subdivision information, create new subdivisions in the system and ensure that the database was up to date with other parish data.
