I have spent nearly 20 years making digital environments awesome places to work, by introducing agile principles and practices, and by helping all individuals be able to bring their real selves to the workplace. I have deep-dived into Scrum and Kanban at a team level, bringing order from chaos and scaled-up agile ways of working with SAFe and LeSS. As a natural leader, I helped to form the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Board at YouView, creating a strategy alongside https://www.diversily.com/ to educate, embed and empower within the organisation. I chaired the board in its infancy, designing and facilitating sessions for its members, helping them to visualise our objectives and key results and make them visible to the rest of the business. I helped to shine a light on neurodiversity in particular and led a series of introductions to conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia, to help with awareness, acceptance and inclusion.I chaired the DE&I committee, who support the steering board in delivering YouView's strategy. I applied my skills as a coach and facilitator when I first joined, and helped a group of people to become a high functioning, efficient team.I have also been influential in forming a carers policy at YouView, by drawing on my own experiences in that role to help our people and culture department to better understand and support others within this role.My past experience as a Technical Project Manager and Scrum Master means I understand the nitty-gritty of delivering projects without losing sight of the people behind the process. I believe in the power of teams and the importance of every voice and that the best way to predict the future is to invent it. Excited to bring my passion for agile and inclusion into my next role.
