About Amy Thronson
I joined the Air Force at 17 years old hoping to find guidance, stability, and structure. I found what I was looking for and gained a variety of skills including the ability to overcome any situation, be an effective leader, listen to instructions, follow-up on task completion, manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, solve problems independently, and effectively work in a team environment. After the military, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Entertainment and Tourism from California State University, Fullerton. I have an eclectic professional background that includes experience in marketing, communication management, project management, production management, and leadership. Over the years, I have worked hard to strengthen my communication skills, expand my professional network, and ground myself in my goal to be a valuable asset in any role that I assume. My experience with these roles also cultivated a passion for finding effective and creative ways to improve processes that would drive a company to grow and achieve its mission. There are many qualities that I bring to the table, but I would like to highlight just a few. First, I am dependable and always ready to seize the day. I always work hard and strive to be the best I can be. Second, I work extremely well under pressure. I created my own solution-method that helps me thrive under pressure at work and in my personal life. I always assess the severity of the situation, consult my colleagues and peers if I need to, and work to produce the best solution. If that solution does not work, I go back to the drawing board and work at it until the issue is solved. Third, I enjoy putting myself outside of my comfort zone. By not staying comfortable or stagnant, I have been able to convert my weaknesses into strengths. When I am not working, I love spending time outdoors and traveling to new places. Whenever I need some “me” time, I usually find myself exploring national parks, hiking trails, or camping. I also like to volunteer when I can. Specifically, I like to donate my time to my community by doing beach cleanups, hiking trail cleanups, and providing mentorship to other fellow veterans.I am always open to connecting and expanding my network. Let's connect!
