Joining a small team at a pivotal stage in their growth, my role is to oversee the retail launch and direct to consumer expansion for a sustainable sea salt brand. By planning launch and expansion strategy, and managing execution both internally and with our agency partners, I play a key role in successfully getting Saltverk to market in the US and Canada. Part marketing, part sales, part project management and sometimes even part graphic design - my diverse role allows me to leverage many of my past experiences to aid the significant expansion of the company.

An opportunity to helm the marketing department for a national non-profit start-up led to a change in employment during the COVID-19 pandemic. As equal part creative thinker and exacting tactician, I shaped marketing strategy, plans, and tactics for Lodgic Everyday Community and each of its five sub-brands. Overseeing all national and local marketing efforts and content creation, I ensured that plans were appropriately executed and achieving the goals intended, or adjusted as market demands and business goals required.

A pedigree in fine-dining hospitality afforded me the opportunity to contract work with the luxury appliance manufacturer of Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove brand products. Working as an in-team captain I help spearhead the continual elevation of on-site service programs.

A newly created role on the Marketing team afforded me the opportunity to switch paths to better align with my past experience and future growth plan. As the only event professional at corporate, I was able to ideate and drive corporate-wide strategy and process for all event activation whether local or national, small or large scale. Through implementing new operating procedures and tactics the Marketing team and I helped streamline event execution and analysis fleet-wide for our 60+ retail stores.

My work was a blend of high-volume project management and production management within a rapidly growing organization. Straddling multiple departments and disciplines, this role was a true focal point for all retail-related needs. With 15+ stores opening every year, days were filled with new hurdles to conquer and a continual focus on prioritization, timeline management, and budget adhesion.

I was brought on in a newly created role to assist with the management and tracking of all base-level retail projects running through the Creative department. While this was certainly part of my day-to-day, the department’s need was far more expansive than originally predicted which led to the creation of the Retail Project Manager role which I subsequently held.

Traveling internationally for various trade shows, events, and master classes, I contributed to the sales and marketing initiatives of Death’s Door Spirits, a local distillery currently distributed in all 50 states and 19+ countries. My previous international experience paired with my service industry background and marketing education allowed me to share the beauty of Death’s Door’s ethos and product, to both current and future consumers while understanding the nuances inherent in any international business sphere.

In an effort to settle back in to life in the US, my fiancé and I assisted with the renovation of a house in Port Orange, Florida. I worked the summer as a sub-contracting demolisher, painter and handy-man.

With duties encompassing both hospitality and administration for the Cellar Door, Restaurant and Bistro, the scope of task was the right fit for the blended professional background I hold.

After a need developed for an event coordinator in a sister company, Prestige Events, I was also asked to take on the logistic management for Auckland's largest fishing competition: the Million Dollar Snapper Challenge.
