Saltverk is a sustainable flaky sea salt producer which use geothermal energy to evaporate the fresh North Atlantic seawater into crispy, flaky sea salt. The salt is hand harvested and delivered to many of the most acknowledged chefs in the world as well as the people of Iceland and other countries which love our product.

From the foundation of Saltverk, I have been involved as a consultant, speciallly in the developing of the production facilities in Reykjanes, West Iceland. Since september 2012 I have been fully employed in the company, responsible for expansion of the salt plant and the supply-chain management of the salt from the evaporation of the sea by using geothermal energy to the delivery of the finished product to the retail customer.

I founded the company in 1999 for the purpose of investing in entrepreneurship and practice as a free-lance consultant.Currently my main activities are business developing in Saltverk ehf, which produces seasalt by evaporating sea by using geothermal energy. I am responsible for developing, constructing and operating the seasalt plant in Reykjanes peninsula in Ísafjarðardjúp, Vestfjords, Iceland, as well as the supply chain management.I am also involved in several other business development and educational projects, amongst them I have been developing and operating a supply-chain solution for Icelandic beach pebbles for the use in southern US swimming pool industry. I have been active in the Greenleaf centre of Servant leadership in Iceland as speaker, board member and conference planner and leader.In my home town of Mosfellsbær I am involved as a co-founder, first chairman and current board member in a private owned but public purpose cluster of health services, which is amongst other project leading the first of all in Iceland healthy society program, which is involving the municipality, all citizens and the public health authorities of Iceland.

My key role in this construction company was Project developing of new properties.The company developed or co-developed two hotels for Center hotels in Reykjavik, the Icelandic art academy building in Þverholt 11, housing and retail shop in Bifröst campus University, high school in Borgarnes amongst other property developing projects.

Verkfræðistofan Höfn is an engineering consultant company in civil engineering, project management and business consultancy. I was the board director of the company from 2004 to 2007 when I left the company to take a new posision in Ans ehf as owner and board director.

Tetra Iceland was formed in November 2001 by the merger of Tetralina and Stikla, which was two rivals in the TETRA Telecommunications industry in Iceland. I was employed as CEO for the merged company.My main task in Tetra Iceland was to renegotiate the public safety service contracts with the Icelandic government and to form a path for developing the system to a nationwide coverage for all the public safety and public service sector, including police, fire, emergency and rescue services as well as power production and other authoroties.The Icelandic TETRA system development was unique in the public safety sector in Europe since the system included users all throuch the public safety and public service sector but also private users, businesses and private persons. During my carereer in TETRA Iceland I was a speaker in some European TETRA conferences, since Iceland was to many means in the frontline of the TETRA service development.Tetra Iceland is today a part of the 112-emergency center for Iceland and the coverage of the public safety telecom system is nationwide in Iceland.
