Currently enjoying maternity leave, residing in my hometown of Los Angeles, by way of a decade in NYC and a year in Seattle. As the restaurant industry has started to shift, I have become very passionate about bringing transparent and accessible Human Resources to the food world- both to employees and employers. I know how overwhelming this sector can be for small businesses, but it should not be ignored. I have obtained a certificate in HR Management at the University of Washington, where my coursework included Employee Labor Law, Workforce Analytics and Planning, Training & Staff Development, and Total Rewards. I have managed HR for a restaurant staff of 50 employees, where my tasks included payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, incident reports, investigations, conflict resolution, and training & development SOPs.
