Responsible for directing the student accounts and cashiering operations of Middle Georgia State University.• Manage and lead the student accounts functions and cashiering operations of the university; investigate and resolve student account discrepancies, disputes and escalated problems; review and oversee daily bank deposits; approve petty cash reimbursements; • Ensure compliance with federal, state and Board of Regents guidelines; • Analyze and review current-term student accounts, collaborating with other offices to maintainenrollment while ensuring minimal accounts receivables to ensure timely payments. • Combine unique data sets into pivot tables and V-lookup to assist with analyzing and identifying data trends to decrease/resolve balances while assisting with enrollment growth/maintenance.• Process balance due notifications; processes non-payment schedules drops.• Establish and maintain Banner Student Information System tuition and fee structure and maintainintegrity of accounting aspects of the system, such as detail codes while resolving issues and preparingmonthly/yearly reconciliation reports, while communicating financial impact to key decision makers.• Work closely with Enrollment Management to provide data-driven financial information for decisionmaking and plan/goal development.• Prepare fiscal year-end system closeouts.• Prepare and analyze audit reports and data extracts regularly and as requested by decision makers to assist in strategic planning.• Provide customer services to students, parents and other interested parties.• Identifies uncollectable accounts and processes reserve and write-off reports.• Manage billing software to ensure accuracy.• Oversee refund process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of completion.• Prepares students tax statements.• Skill in organization and project management.• Skill in decision making and problem solving.• Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
