After coursework in political and business risk, I joined Nomad Fintech Inc., a Brazilian fintech offering Brazilians a global financial life in USD, in the Risk & Compliance department. Accepted in over 180 countries and having over BRL 5bi in international transfers, I was presented with the unique challenge of understanding cybersecurity and data privacy frameworks at both international and region-specific levels. After extensive research and under the guidance of the brilliant people in charge of that department, I updated company-wide privacy and data protection training, devised cybersecurity maturity-level indicators to enhance the firm's Governance Manual, and participated in the risk impact analysis for related incidents.It was a demanding but stimulating time in the context of a rapidly evolving company with a team that aims to surpass expectations and ease customer experience.

Through the DukeEngage Gateway program, I interned at NOSSAS during to develop a school outreach program within Amazônia de Pé, a nationwide campaign focused on spreading information about the Amazon forest and its peoples and obtaining signatures for the passing of a bill that reformulates the preservation of the biome. Besides having the opportunity to work with a team I admired a lot in a project with real impact to future generations, I also learned a lot about effective project management, gaining experience with tools such as Asana and Fellow. I co-authored the project proposal and formulated our methodology (rooted in gamification). In addition to that, I was responsible for creating a digital library for the program, establishing partnerships, and managing the budget for participant schools.We engaged over 100 schools from all regions of Brazil in understanding the importance of the Amazonand its people, as well as in collecting signatures (over 1.2 million collected so far) for passing such an important bill.

When the pandemic struck, I realized that the flaws already harbored by Brazil in regard to basic education were massively aggravated. Statistics from Conjuve (National Youth Council) depicted that while the majority of Brazilian students wished to continue their studies (75%), only 20% of them had access to quality material to do so. Since basic education is the door to not only better professional opportunities, but also to a more solid citizenship, I decided to act, founding the project EAD Para Todos (Distance Learning For All). EAD Para Todos (Distance Learning for All) is a youth-led social project that aims to democratize Brazilians’ access to education through the development of quality and comprehensive materials and mentorships, especially for high school students. I established the Marketing Team (14 people) and the Academic team (60 people) and led our monthly general body meetings. To cover annual costs and the development of our website, I also organized a fundraiser, raising almost R$6,000.00. It was an honor to work with everyone involved and committed to more equitable access to knowledge. We impacted over 2000 students directly and designed over 500 materials, alongside two essay writing mentorships for ENEM (National High School Exam). Additionally, I was able to represent our initiative when we were awarded the first prize in the special "Youth Against Covid-19" category of the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards and when we were among the 10 youth-led projects from Brazil to be selected as changemakers and receive mentoring from Ashoka and Oracle.

Social Docs is the first Brazilian production company focused on storytelling, social impact, and ESG within its operations. In my role, I was responsible for mapping likely prospects, generating leads and presenting our portfolio for international NGOs, having contacted over 100 different organizations. I also led communication efforts with international clients such as Transparency International, Peace First, and Plan International.Because of my working closely with one of the company's founders and CEO, I am grateful that I was able to delve more into the B Corp Movement, its metrics, and participate in the brainstorming of ways to make those metrics more significant and effective for the company.

I was one of ten young female activists selected to devise NOSSAS campaign "Cada Voto Conta" (Each Vote Counts), which aimed at registering 16 to 18-year-olds as voters before the 2022 Brazilian Presidential Elections.I was responsible for the Southeastern part of the country and organized voter registration stands in public high schools of the region. Alongside that, I helped plan our digital campaign across various social media (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok), creating content in partnership with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and other organizations like GirlUp to explain the process and its importance. Our efforts culminated in over 2 million new young voters.
