- Collaborated with Engineers and Industrial Designers to bring client ideas from concepts to manufacturable products across a wide variety of industries (household goods, medical, beverage).- Created concept and tooling CAD assemblies (parametric Creo and Solidworks modeling) to meet clients’ manufacturing requirements and cost points.- Led engineering kick off meetings with clients to present products’ mechanical and design features as well as their manufacturability options.Identified and delegated tasks to team members to ensure project schedule and deadlines are met.

- Designed and prototyped manufacturable works of art, primarily Act IV lighting products (Signal, Reprise, Starlet), to fulfill the creative director’s product vision.- Developed housings for CB-certified manual dimmer systems for the Act IV lighting products, enabling these products to be launched internationally.- Bridged the gap between Engineering and Design in the Product Development team: created technical drawings and communicated with vendors, designed fixtures to meet UL, CB, and CE lighting requirements, and conducted electrical testing of product circuitry.- Created and implemented QC processes for lighting components (Act I through Act IV); trained in-house Receiving and Assembly teams on QC processes and modified these processes based on observed pain points.

- Developed products from concept through first round of production and built strong, long lasting with local and national vendors. Expanded the Barbell product line, resulting in the highest new product revenue across the department in 2017. - Consistently selected by Rogue’s CEO to work on top priority projects such as leading the design and development of limited edition and non-fitness related products, and annual custom gifts for sponsored athletes.- Designed and built one-off products for The Arnold Sports Festival’s Rogue Record Breakers competition, including the Elephant Bar, and the Olympic Barbell line planned to be used onstage at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.- Only designer to own products across all in-house product lines (Machining, Sheet Metal and Weld, Sewing and Soft Goods). - Led the expansion of Rogue’s product portfolio beyond Crossfit lifting into other markets such as Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, and Strongman.- Programmed CNC machines for prototype and production parts (G Code); frequently acted as a machinist, assemblyman, and as a welder.

Conducted research and development of new products, troubleshooting, manufacturing assistance, as well as design of products using Pro/E and SolidWorks.

- Taught students of varying skill levels how to redesign their projects for machinability and prototyping, including modifying CAD models to facilitate manufacturability and determining which fabrication tools are needed to create their prototypes, and ensured safe utilization of shop equipment.- Dedicated time outside of working hours to improve upon my machining skills, and worked alongside my Shop Manager to machine multiple fixtures and test pieces for graduate students.

Designed and developed new door fasteners and interlocks for elevators. Worked to replace all sheet metal in factory to Stainless Steel 304 material. Occasionally filled in as a machinist and MIG welder to prototype new products.

- Conducted R&D of combustible materials at the Zero Gravity Drop Tower research facility; designed and built several hardware and support apparatus to enable testing in the Drop Tower. Presented work results to the facility’s lead scientists.

Collaborated with a team to redesign and test an apparatus which observes residue of alternative fuels on aircraft grade metal specimens.

Supported a Construction Project Manager on a school renovation project, and collaborated with different departments in a cross-functional environment.

Collaborated with a team of engineers to redesign and optimize the profile of a series of thermoelectric generators to increase their efficiency for deep space travel.

Research conducted on increasing the efficiency of Hydrogen fuel cells by redesigning PEM membranes and testing new film material compounds.

Performed research on environmental impact of consumer batteries by physically collecting littered batteries and testing corrosion effects as well as physical deformation.
