I worked for six months in medicine department of CMH lahore as a houseofficer,learned how to interact with patients and take detailed history and managed emergencies. I enjoyed working as a team,and got hold of decision making skills in a limited time period while working in Accident and emergency department.My ability to work under stressful and challenging situations gave me enough confidence to handle acutely ill patients.The six month rotation in surgery allowed me to groom my surgical skills. I performed some minor surgical procedures like lipoma removal,drilling a burr hole and appendisectomy independently while assisted in many other major ones.The daily ward rounds were a major advantage for me to directly examine patients,discuss and present my findings to my consultants.This polished my examination skills in both medical and surgical departments.Presently I am working as a Senior House Officer in Trauma and Orthopedics, at St Richards hospital, Chichester.
